(1) Eyewear covers the cornea, conjunctiva , and other ocular tissue.
(2) Over the sclera lies the conjunctiva , a clear mucous membrane that protects the eye from becoming dry.
(3) This happens as a result of the irritation and widening of the tiny blood vessels in the conjunctiva .
(4) Most ocular complications involve the cornea but may also include the conjunctiva , uvea, sclera, retina, and surrounding structures.

(6) Unlike eyelid or conjunctival involvement, corneal involvement can result in significant vision loss.

(8) Review of the medical records indicated a definite cutaneous or conjunctival primary in 9 of 12 cases.
(9) If participants developed any mucosal or skin reaction, hypotension, upper or lower airway reaction, conjunctival reaction, or laryngeal edema during the challenge test, it was considered a positive response.
(10) It is important to identify and remove conjunctival and corneal foreign bodies.
